On the morning of April 7, 2025, Gu Xin Company convened a special conference on product quality management, themed “Quality as the Foundation of Our Enterprise, Striving for Perfection.” The company’s General Manager, Sang Haibo, attended the meeting and delivered an important address, emphasizing that “quality is the lifeline of the enterprise” must be at the core of all our efforts. He called for comprehensively strengthening quality awareness, optimizing production processes, and driving continuous product iteration and upgrading. He urged all employees to approach every piece of equipment with a craftsman’s spirit and to safeguard the company’s brand value through a commitment to excellence. Heads and department supervisors from the Production Department, Technical Department, Quality Inspection Department, and other relevant departments participated in the meeting.
The central focus of the meeting was to further strengthen quality awareness and achieve a leap from “compliance” to “excellence.” In his opening remarks, General Manager Sang Haibo stated unequivocally: “At its core, market competition is about product quality. Our products must not only meet national standards but also exceed customer expectations.” Drawing on recent market research and an analysis of competing products in the industry, he noted that while some of the company’s offerings currently satisfy customer requirements, there is still room for optimization in production processes. To address this, he introduced the “Three-Tier Quality Leap Plan”—achieving zero defects at the foundational level, full traceability throughout the process, and exceeding end-customer expectations—mandating that quality objectives be elevated from “meeting standards” to “leading the industry.” Addressing the production floor, General Manager Sang underscored the principle that “details determine success or failure”: “Even a slight deviation in the torque of a single screw, an uneven weld seam, or inadequate sealing at a connection point can become critical factors that impact a product’s reputation.” He announced the launch of the “Micron Initiative,” which will set precision requirements for key processes that are 30% stricter than industry standards, and the implementation of a “Job-Specific Quality Commitment System,” under which every employee will sign a “Quality Responsibility Agreement” linking quality metrics directly to performance evaluations.
Enhanced Control Over the Production Process: Building a Comprehensive, End-to-End Quality Fortress. The meeting outlined three core initiatives: First, establishing a “dual closed-loop” quality management system. At the front end, a “three inspections and three tests” protocol has been implemented for incoming raw materials, coupled with tiered quality management of suppliers; at the back end, a 24-hour customer-quality-feedback response platform has been set up to directly channel market issues to the technical-improvement team. Second, rolling out intelligent quality monitoring. The company is increasing investment in AI-powered visual-inspection systems to conduct real-time monitoring of 12 key processes, including welding and assembly, enabling second-level alerts for quality issues and minute-level localization of root causes. Third, launching the “Golden Wrench” craftsman-development program. The Production Department fosters a culture of “striving to excel through emulation and competition” by conducting monthly selections of quality role models, quarterly skills competitions, and annual evaluations for the title of Chief Technician. In his remarks on behalf of the Production Department, Department Head Zhou stated: “In the past, we thought meeting standards was good enough; now we realize that a difference of just 0.1 millimeter can be the very reason a customer chooses our competitor.”
Another Breakthrough in Technological Innovation: Forging Core Competitiveness Through Precision Engineering. General Manager Sang emphasized that quality improvement must be perfectly aligned with technological innovation. We must ensure that every piece of equipment serves as a rolling billboard, leveraging superior quality to secure a stronger voice in the marketplace. With the official launch of the Three-Year Action Plan for Quality Improvement, the company is embarking on a new journey—a transformative quality revolution—from “manufacturing” to “intelligent manufacturing”—with an unwavering commitment to leaving no stone unturned.
